Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.5
Lantern Hollow is a gentle adventure about relighting the lamps of an abandoned village and, in doing so, bringing its odd residents back one by one. It's exploration-first, with light environmental puzzles woven into the world rather than stacked into puzzle rooms.
What sold me was the art. Everything is hand-drawn with soft, warm lighting, and there's real satisfaction in watching a dark corner of the map bloom with color once you solve its little riddle. The pacing is unhurried by design, so it's not a game to rush.
There's no fail state and no timers, which some players will find slow. I found it soothing after a long day, and I finished it wanting more.
